Project #TechForUkraine is an initiative that aims to connect technology companies with NGOs from Ukraine that need technical assistance in connection with the humanitarian crisis and the threat of war. This project is carried out by Tech To The Rescue, an organization that has been supporting social and ecological projects through pro bono technology services since 2020. This project aims to implement 100 high-quality technological projects that will help organizations from Ukraine to work more effectively and efficiently in difficult conditions. More than 60 projects have been completed so far, including accommodation sharing platforms, apps for children and young people, and a collection of charitable NFTs. This project involves more than 700 technology companies from 84 countries and more than 150 NGOs from 117 countries. This project is an example of solidarity and international cooperation that uses technology to help and improve the quality of life of people in Ukraine.

The task was to design a web application that was intended to facilitate and encourage users to provide financial support to refugees from Ukraine. The app was meant to be simple, intuitive, and mobile to allow users to donate anytime, anywhere. The app was also supposed to inform users about the situation in Ukraine and show how their donations are used by humanitarian organizations. The user can choose one of the predefined amounts or enter their own. You can choose one of the available payment methods, such as credit card, PayPal, BLIK, Google Pay or Apple Pay. The application provided security and encryption of payment data. The user received a donation confirmation to their email or phone, as well as a thank you and information about the organization that received the donation. You can also share your donation on social media or invite friends to support refugees. This task required me to be able to design the user interface, as well as knowledge of the issues of refugees and humanitarian organizations.

The homepage not only contains a deposit option, but also describes the initiative.

Providing support has never been easier.

If the user chooses a one-time payment instead of recurring payments, then in the last step he is encouraged to change his decision.

After making a deposit, the user is encouraged to share the information about the collection with friends.
